Emotions such as anxiety, worry, anger or annoyance are stressful for our body, IF we suppress them. What happens when we have those emotions? Basically, emotions are frequency waves. They are often triggered by a thought, rushing through our body for around 60-90 seconds, bound to be ‘discharged’ with a deep sigh, or a scream, or a grunt….
💡What happens if we cling to our feelings? What does Buddy Body do with them? He ‘condenses’ them. In an X-ray, we would see them as dark spots. So, we’d see a kind of shadow on our chest or stomach. This puts a strain on our entire system and makes us ill in
the long term, both physically and mentally.
To stay healthy, let’s practice releasing our emotions in a conscious way. ⬇️
Your body will show you where to go:
🔸 Concentrate on the place where you sense the respective emotion. It’s like a ‘pinch’ or tension.
In the case of anxiety, this is often the stomach or chest. Anguish is also in our bones. Anger and rage can be sensed in tense jaw muscles or in the neck and shoulder area.
🔸 Direct all your attention to the relevant part of the body.
🔸 Breathe out loudly. You can accompany this with sounds of various kinds such as a sigh.
Don’t be surprised if the feeling gets stronger when you focus on the corresponding ‘storage location’ in the body. Your focus kind of activates the emotion. This helps the process of letting it out and release your body from it. 🚀
